2009 Skill Tourney

What is the 2009 Skill Tourney? Well it’s a skill based competition fundraiser hosted by The 501st. It’s a series of events covering different categories of game play in which competitors can put their true skills to the test. Do you have what it takes? Now is the time to prove it.
In this Tournament, there are awards for each of the events, and then an overall award for the top tourney scorer. Pre-registration is not mandatory but will be greatly appreciated. The day will begin with a safety briefing, followed by the 1 vs. 1 competitions, then the Doubles 2 vs. 2, Marksmanship, and finally the Award Ceremony.
Throughout the course of the day, raffle tickets will be available for purchase, as will food. During the Award Ceremony, ribbons for 2nd and 3rd place, and trophies to all 1st place event winners will be awarded. The 2009 Skill Tourney Overall 1st Place trophy, will be awarded last which will conclude the tournament.
While the Tournament is running, a woodsball game of capture the flag will be available to any registered players who do not wish to sit and watch the competition play. This game does not count towards earning Tourney Points. Tourney Points and how to earn them is described below.

Tourney Rules:
1. All competitors must follow field rules at all times.
2. There will be no draws. The referees will designate a winner (determined by who is the primary aggressor)
3. No arguing with the referees.
4. Stepping outside a designated boundary will get you called out.
5. Cheating (i.e.: wiping) is an automatic forfeit of all events.
6. On your honor, due to the nature of this competition, an “out” will be by the hit and not by the break. This Tourney is a test of skill and the competitor’s ability to hit their opponents, not in their paint’s ability to break.
7. Rules and events are subject to change.
