JUNGLE CAT SCRATCH

Good Try Leads to Arrests

Last week we had a break in.  The new alarm went off and could be heard for literally miles.   The next door neighbor looked out his window to “see people running like chickens with their heads cut off.”  Security was on the scene in less than 3 minutes.  If they would have stuck around a little bit they would have found out that we filled the walls to the gear room with concrete and an impervious steel vault door blocks the way.  Definitely not worth the bother of getting your pic on the County’s most wanted list.  See you guys in court!

Invites Return

This weekend we are reverting back to the Invite Tournament Format.  Very few tourneys for other fields have been flying this year and we have had one we cancelled  because the number of teams has declined.  In my Rants I predicted this so in response we have brought back the Invite Format to serve our dedicated customer base with quality players to play and rebuild.  It’s exciting because I feel I no longer have to cater to the general public that can contain ashats and jerks.   Now I get to invite the good people to a private game that is guaranteed to consist of good people.  Good people make good events.

John Getting a RV

In late August I am getting my RV just in time for the deer hunting seasons.  My Camper is getting too small for our hunting party so I broke down and got this unit.  It’s 38’ long sleeps 12.  Seats and tables...  and yes we can take it paintballing too.  It is about the same mileage as my truck, plus a whole lot more comfortable.

Tidbits

C Note picked up another Minion and turned it into a Storm Trouper immediately.  Cool.

El has a TM7 coming this week. They’re based on the mini platform with an upgraded air system making them even more efficient.   The single trigger should fit her “run and gun” type of game.

Brandon S.; Aaron “Buda” Brunner;  and Andrew “Ski” Pershski; are our newest team mates.

Brandon is Gibbs son and is shooting a custom cocker.  He is young but full of P&V.  Good job Gibbs.

Buda is a Reefer Tech [Refrigeration] shoots old school and moves very well.  Played tourney ball years back and is of great character.

Ski has been contemplating joining the team for months.  He is an excellent athlete and brings more raw talent to the team.  I see him being a force in the future.

Jungle Cats Receive Most Valuable Team Award

The Jungle Cats were on the prowl again.  This time they pounced on Hudson at Splat Tag’s Battle for Serenity Valley Scenario Game.  The event drew hundreds of players from the entire country, along with 22 Cats from the Juneau, WI field.  Jay and I drove the majority of the equipment and team up night before, fought off the Dungeons and Dragons got some excellent sleep complements of Micah’s generous hotel antics.  When Gibbs, Boone, Mark, Josh, and company showed in the AM the Cats were primed for pursuit games.  They ran down anyone they could catch, first as a large group, then later using “small unit tactics” we invented on site.

Turbo won the infamous Vera during the drawing at the end of the game.  She is based on a A5 with a M204 grenade launcher and a Night Vision Scope.  Way to realist to walk in public with.

We had a great time and when that positive energy is seen by others they remember and nominated us as the Most Valuable Team.  We have been playing paintball long enough to know that usually the unnoticed dudes really are the Most Valuable.  We were not alone the entire Badger Brigades played the same game we played.  We might have had the most fun, though.

On the way home we had a trailer tire go flat.  We have owned the trailer for years and never noticed the spare was an old bald tire.  It held air but while the team bonded and ate in Ground Round for 2 hours some of us changed out the old tire in the Walmart lot using screw drivers, and a crap load of sweat just to be sure we made it home ok.   Thanks for the sandwich guys- oh wait that’s right we didn’t get anything.   Good thing we had such a great day!

Layout for Aug 9th 3 Player Invite

We combined elements of both the 2008 NPPL and Xball fields to make a unique high movement field.   At 120x90 with 40 plus bunkers; the fatty in the back will get owned on this one.
